Fascinum

Invested especially by the Romans, and all other cultures within the Roman sphere of influence was one of the oldest and most widely used amulets by virtually everyone in society. Originating in the Mediterranean region, this was the phallus; the male reproductive organs, often shown winged, signifying the power and strength of personal protection against the Evil Eye and all malevolent forces. In addition, it served as a powerful talisman for virility, fertility and erotic attraction. This pewter amulet is a little smaller than those typically worn at the time, (some of which were extremely large!), although referenced from excavated bronze examples of the 1st century BC. Packaging: Presented in a branded Lychgate green velvet pouch with an attached descriptive kraft hang tag. Packaged in a 4-inch square poly bag, sealed with a round Lychgate sticker.
